Terms of Use — Memtivy

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of Memtivy, a memory monitor app for macOS. By installing or using Memtivy, you agree to these Terms.

1. What Memtivy Does

Memtivy is a small utility that lives in your Mac's menu bar. It shows how much memory your Mac is currently using, whether memory load is normal or high, and which apps are using the most memory. It can send you an early warning when memory load becomes critical, before macOS itself shows a low-memory alert.

Memtivy is a monitoring and information tool only. It does not automatically close apps, delete files, or change your system settings.

2. Requirements

• A Mac running macOS 13 or later.
• Permission for notifications, only if you want to receive critical memory warnings. You can decline and still use the app.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree to:

• Use Memtivy only on a Mac you own or are authorized to use.
• Not copy, resell, or redistribute the app as your own product.
• Not attempt to misrepresent the app's readings as a professional diagnosis of hardware faults.

4. No Warranty

Memtivy is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. Memory readings are estimates based on information provided by macOS and may vary slightly from what other tools show.

Memtivy warns you about high memory load, but it cannot guarantee that your Mac will never slow down, freeze, or show a system low-memory message. How your Mac behaves also depends on the apps you run, your macOS version, and your hardware.

5. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law, the developers of Memtivy are not liable for any direct or indirect loss arising from the use of the app — including lost work, app crashes, or system slowdowns. Memtivy only displays information; decisions about closing apps or changing your workflow are yours.

6. Notifications

If you allow notifications, Memtivy may send an alert when memory load becomes critical. Alerts are limited in frequency so you are not spammed. You can turn them off at any time in System Settings → Notifications → Memtivy.

7. Changes to the App and These Terms

Memtivy may be updated over time to improve accuracy, efficiency, or compatibility with new macOS versions. These Terms may be updated accordingly. Continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
