Privacy Policy — Memtivy

Last updated: September 2026

Memtivy is designed to respect your privacy. In short: everything the app sees stays on your Mac. Nothing is sent anywhere.

1. Data We Collect

We collect no personal data. Memtivy:

  • Has no user accounts and asks for no name, email, or contact details.
  • Shows no ads and uses no advertising or analytics trackers.
  • Makes no internet connections to send or receive your data.

2. Data That Stays on Your Mac

To do its job, Memtivy reads your Mac's current memory status (for example, how much memory is in use and which apps are using the most). This information:

  • Is read only when the app is running.
  • Is shown to you on screen and kept only briefly so the app can draw the recent-usage chart (about the last 2 minutes).
  • Is never uploaded, shared, sold, or sent to the developers or any third party.
  • Is discarded when you quit the app.

Your app preferences (such as how the menu bar number is displayed) are stored using the standard macOS settings storage on your Mac only.

3. Notifications

If you allow notifications, macOS itself delivers the critical-memory alert on your Mac. No notification content leaves your device.

4. Permissions

Memtivy needs no special access to your files, camera, microphone, location, or contacts. The only optional permission is notifications, which you control in System Settings and can revoke at any time.

5. Children

Memtivy contains no user-generated content, messaging, or data collection of any kind, and is safe for general audiences.

6. Changes to This Policy

If the app ever changes in a way that affects privacy, this policy will be updated. Because no contact data is collected, please check this document occasionally for the latest version.
